About Carver

The city of Carver is located in the Minnesota River Valley about 29 miles southwest of the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area. The Carver Historical District includes eighty seven buildings and four structures of historical significance from 1850-1924 with respect to early river town settlement, commerce, dwelling places, and architecture. The following schools serve Carver: East Union Elementary, Carver Middle School, Carver High School and John Carver Elementary.

This history rich small community is host to the Carver annual Steamboat Days in the first part of September. As the city experiments growth in housing under beautiful settings, it reflects a small town atmosphere making it very appealing and inviting to live here.
